Privacy Policy
How this website handles your personal data — in plain words.
This website belongs to the luthier Gregorio Martini. It exists to show his instruments and to let you write to him — nothing more. It uses no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind.
Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is Gregorio Martini. For any question about your data, write to mgviolinmaker@gmail.com.
What we collect, and why
When you send a letter through the contact form, we receive your name, your e-mail address and your message, together with the topic and, if you give it, the instrument you are writing about. We use them only to answer you and, if you decide to commission or buy an instrument, to arrange it with you.
The legal basis is your consent, given with the checkbox in the form, and the steps you ask us to take before a possible agreement (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).
Your letter reaches us by e-mail and is kept in our mailbox (Gmail, a service of Google). We never sell or share your details, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
How long we keep it
We keep your correspondence for as long as the conversation lasts and for up to two years after our last exchange — longer only where an order makes it legally necessary, for example for accounting. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
Visiting the website
Like every website, this one runs on a server operated by a hosting provider, which records standard technical data in its logs — IP address, date and time, the page requested and the browser — to keep the site secure and working. These logs are kept for a short period and are not used to identify you.
The fonts are served from our own server, and the site loads no content from third parties.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies for visitors, so no consent banner is needed: nothing is stored on your device. Technical cookies are set only when the site’s administrators log in.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format and to withdraw your consent at any time — just write to mgviolinmaker@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country.
